Hearing tests

Whether you’re suffering from age-related hearing loss, or feel you simply cannot hear the same way you used to, booking a hearing test is the first step towards improving your hearing health.

A professional hearing health assessment consists of a thorough visual examination of the ears, along with an in-depth hearing test to assess your particular hearing concerns. All tests are performed in total comfort and are followed with a comprehensive diagnosis straight away.

The Hearing Specialist will help you to understand your particular hearing concerns, and make recommendations on suitable treatment options.

Hearing tests cost £49 or are free when purchasing a hearing aid. Find out more here.

Ear wax removal

In some cases, your hearing troubles may be due to a build-up of excessive ear wax. In this case, ear wax removal via microsuction is recommended.

Microsuction is a completely safe and gentle procedure that effectively removes excessive wax from the ear canal and can instantly alleviate any discomfort or hearing decline that you may be experiencing.

The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes from start to finish and can be performed as often as needed.

Ear wax removal costs £60 for one ear, or £80 for both. Find out more here.

Hearing aid consultations & fittings

Whether you’re already wearing hearing aids or the results of your hearing test have shown that you may benefit from them, The Hearing Specialist can help you get the most out of your device.

As an independent audiologist, The Hearing Specialist isn’t affiliated with any manufacturer. This means that they can offer completely unbiased advice on the most suitable hearing aid for your lifestyle and budget, with over 250 hearing aids available.

When purchasing a hearing aid through The Hearing Specialist, you can benefit from:

  • 4-year warranty

  • 4-year unlimited aftercare

  • Free 7 day trials to try before you buy

  • Access to the latest technology including rechargeable devices, speech enhancement, noise reduction and Bluetooth.

If you feel that your current hearing aid isn’t performing the way it used to, a no-obligation consultation can help to assess whether the device is still in good working condition and suitable for your hearing needs.
